AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR AN ADMINISTRATOR, INVESTIGATOR AND EUTHANASIA SERVICE PROVIDER OR VETERINARY SPECIALIST AND OTHER EXPENSES FOR ANIMAL PROTECTIVE SERVICES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the regulation and licensing department for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 to provide funding for salary and benefits for an administrator, investigator and euthanasia service provider or veterinary specialist and other expenses for animal protective services. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
