AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE RECURRING FUNDING FOR A TEACHER EDUCATION DISTANCE LEARNING PROJECT AT EASTERN NEW MEXICO UNIVERSITY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to eastern New Mexico university for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 and subsequent fiscal years to provide funding for a teacher education distance learning project to enable undergraduate and graduate courses to be telecommunicated to Hobbs, Ruidoso, Roswell, Tucumcari, Carlsbad, Cannon air force base, Clovis and Raton. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
