AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE GALISTEO WATERSHED CONSERVATION INITIATIVE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred seventy thousand dollars ($170,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the office of cultural affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 to perform archaeological, geological, botanical and wildlife studies necessary to prioritize preservation in the Galisteo watershed. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
