AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN THE ADOPTION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF ACEQUIA BYLAWS, RULES AND REGULATIONS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the New Mexico irrigation works construction fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 to assist in the adoption and implementation of acequia bylaws, rules and regulations. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
