AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE OFFICE OF THE CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER TO ACQUIRE AND OPERATE A STATEWIDE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ASSET INVENTORY AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the office of the chief information officer for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 to acquire hardware, software and contractual services for the purpose of operating a statewide, enterprise-level information technology asset inventory and management system. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
