    Your CONSUMER AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 185

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 2, line 13, after "of" insert "New Mexico".

     2. On page 2, line 14, strike "comparison to other states" and insert in lieu thereof "comprehensive health care reform proposals that deal with the uninsured in the state".

     3. On page 2, line 15, strike "plan benefit" and insert in lieu thereof "coverage".

     4. On page 2, line 16, after "models" insert "to analyze the impact of these models on New Mexico health care expenditures and the number of uninsured".

     5. On page 2, line 16, after "identify" insert "health care reform".

     6. On page 2, lines 16 and 17, strike "for health care coverage and access".

     7. On page 2, line 18, after "uninsured" insert ", control escalating health care costs and foster a system of inclusive health care coverage and access for all New Mexicans".,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
