AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE SERVICES FOR PERSONS WITH HUMAN IMMUNODEFICIENCY VIRUS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million dollars ($2,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 for the purpose of providing statewide services, including prescription drugs and prevention, for persons with human immunodeficiency virus. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
