    Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 179

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 3, line 10, before the comma insert "while attending a four-year post-secondary educational institution".

     2. On page 3, lines 11 and 12, strike "while attending a public four-year post-secondary educational institution" and insert in lieu thereof "counting both the attendance time at the two-year institution and the attendance time at the four-year institution".

     3. On page 4, line 18, after "the" strike the remainder of the line, strike all of lines 19 and 20 and strike line 21 up to the semicolon and insert in lieu thereof "institute of American Indian and Alaska native culture and arts development".

     4. On page 4, line 23, after "school" insert a comma.

     5. On page 4, line 23, after “means,” insert “any public, two-year post-secondary educational institution in New Mexico,”.

     6. On page 4, strike lines 24 and 25 and on page 5, strike lines 1 and 2 in their entirety and strike line 3 up to the period and insert in lieu thereof "the New Mexico campuses of the Crownpoint institute of technology, Dine college or the two-year programs at the institute of American Indian and Alaska native culture and arts development". 

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
