Mr. Speaker:

    Your ENERGY AND NATURAL RESOURCES COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 101

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 1, line 11, strike "AN APPROPRIATION" and insert in lieu thereof "APPROPRIATIONS".

     2. On page 1, line 12, after "ENGINEER" insert "AND IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE OF THE COURTS".

     3. On page 2, between lines 3 and 4, insert the following new section to read:

     "Section 2. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred forty-three thousand two hundred dollars ($443,200) is appropriated from the general fund to the administrative office of the courts for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 for personnel, hardware, software, equipment, office space, administrative support and contractual services to consolidate stand-alone databases, coordinate data exchange between the courts and the office of the state engineer and create a web-based water rights information project to provide access to information regarding specific water cases. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.".

     4. Renumber the succeeding section accordingly.,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
