    Your TAXATION AND REVENUE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 44

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 1, line 12, after "AUTHORITY" insert "; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY".

     2. On page 14, line 20, after the period strike the remainder of the line and strike lines 21 through 25 in their entirety.

     3. On page 20, line 14, after "of" insert "Sections 1, 2 and 4 through 6 of".

     4. On page 20, between lines 14 and 15, insert the following new section:

     "Section 8. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.".
