AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE KINDERGARTEN PLUS PILOT PROJECT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 to fund the second year of the kindergarten plus pilot project. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall not revert to the general fund but may be expended in future fiscal years for the kindergarten plus pilot project.
