AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ENHANCE THE RESEARCH AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS AT THE NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE CENTER AT TUCUMCARI.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--
A. Three hundred forty-one thousand dollars ($341,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 to enhance research and education programs relating to water conservation and rangeland ecology at the agricultural science center at Tucumcari to be spent in the following amounts by the following organizations:
(1) two hundred nineteen thousand dollars ($219,000) to the agricultural experiment station; and
(2) one hundred twenty-two thousand dollars ($122,000) to the cooperative extension service.
B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
