Synopsis
of Bill
Senate Bill 2 appropriates
$2,660.0 from the general fund to Legislative Council Service for the purpose
of providing a district office and staff for each legislator in FY05
Significant
Issues
Each member of the Senate will receive $30
thousand in FY05 for a district office and staff. Each member of the House of Representatives
will receive $20 thousand in FY05 for a district office and staff.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $2,660.0
contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general fund. Any
unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005
shall revert to the general fund.
ADMINISTRATIVE IMPLICATIONS
Legislative Council
Service is required to develop policies, procedures and limitations as to the
use of funds. LCS will also be
responsible for disbursing and tracking expenditures for 112 legislative
offices.
