Mr. Speaker:

Your CONFERENCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

has had it under consideration and reports same with the following recommendations:

1. The following house education committee amendments be APPROVED:

6 and 7.

2. House Voters and Elections Committee Amendment 1 be approved.

3. The following house education committee amendments be DISAPPROVED:

1 through 5.

4. The following senate finance committee amendments be DISAPPROVED:

1 and 2.

and that the joint resolution be further amended as follows:

5. On page 2, line 5, strike "policymaking".

6. On page 2, line 6, after "commission" insert "that shall have such powers and duties as provided by law".

7. On page 2, line 9, after the period strike the remainder of the line and strike lines 10 through 15 in their entirety.

8. On page 3, strike line 13 in its entirety and insert in lieu thereof:

"D. The secretary of public education shall have administrative and regulatory powers and duties, including all".

9. On page 3, line 15, after "schools" strike the reminder of the line, strike line 16 and on line 17, strike the underscored material.
