A MEMORIAL

HONORING PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH'S LEADERSHIP IN HIS EFFORT TO PROTECT THE UNITED STATES FROM THE THREATS OF SADDAM HUSSEIN.



WHEREAS, the dictatorship of Iraq has continued to develop weapons of mass destruction in violation of United Nations security council resolution 1441; and

WHEREAS, the dictator, Saddam Hussein, has demonstrated a willingness to use weapons of mass destruction against neighboring nations and the citizens of Iraq; and

WHEREAS, Saddam Hussein's actions threaten lives around the world, the relative peace in the Middle East and the global economy;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO that President George W. Bush, his cabinet and the men and women of the United States armed forces be praised for their courage and resolve to remove Saddam Hussein from power and disarm Iraq; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this memorial be transmitted to the president of the United States.
