46th legislature - STATE OF NEW MEXICO - first session, 2003
DECLARING MARCH 2003 AS "EAGLE SCOUT MONTH AT THE LEGISLATURE".
WHEREAS, eagle scouts, through hard work, have earned a minimum of twenty-one merit badges and developed skills in many different areas that will help them through their entire lives; and
WHEREAS, eagle scouts in Santa Fe have provided leadership to their troops and fellow scouts and adults and friends in hundreds of community service projects such as creating outdoor museum exhibits, cleaning up streams, parks and the botanical garden site; constructing a welcome sign and a history appreciation sign at the municipal airport; and raising awareness of organ and tissue donation programs; and
WHEREAS, each eagle scout has done more for his community than most people do in a lifetime; and
WHEREAS, the legislature recognizes the value of youth and youth programs, such as the boy scouts of America, that help young people develop leadership, character and citizenship;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO that March 2003 be declared "Eagle Scout Month at the Legislature"; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that recognition and congratulations be expressed to the following eagle scouts: Chris Brennand, Caleb Crawford, Cole Daeshel, David Donatelli, Ian Frank, Chris Leeman, Russell Louden, Phillip Lujan, John Rodke, Jacob Rogers, Alex Van Amberg, Brian Sewel and Will Wells from troops 53, 57 and 412; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this joint memorial be transmitted to each of those eagle scouts.
