SUMMARY

 

     Synopsis of SJC Amendment

 

The Senate Judiciary Committee Amendment to Senate Bill 821 replaces “Homeland Security Department” with “The Director of Homeland Security.”   

 

     Synopsis of Original Bill

 

Senate Bill 821 amends Section 29-6-5 NMSA 1978, providing that members of the New Mexico mounted patrol may assist the Homeland Security Department.  The bill also makes technical changes to the statute.
