SUMMARY
Synopsis
of Bill
Senate Bill 499 allows
the Department of Game and Fish to set aside up to two elk licenses to be sold
to persons under the age of 21 that have been diagnosed as having a life
threatening illness. These persons must
be qualified as such through a nonprofit wish-granting organization.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
Senate Bill 499 does
not contain an appropriation. The Department of Game and Fish reports that if
these two licenses are sold to New Mexico residents, it will earn $138.00 in
revenue and if sold to out-of-state residents, it will earn $1.5 in revenue.
The revenue will accrue to the Game Protection Fund.
