SUMMARY

 

     Synopsis of Bill

 

Senate Bill 330 changes the Election Code to allow major party gubernatorial candidates to select their lieutenant governor running mate for a primary election.  Additionally, the bill requires conventions of major political parties to designate joint candidates for the offices of governor and lieutenant governor, rather than individual candidates for the offices.

 

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS

 

There is no appropriation or significant fiscal impact associated with this bill.
