SUMMARY
Synopsis
of Bill
House Joint Memorial
45 requests that a New Mexico Food and Agriculture Policy Council be created,
that stakeholders, agencies, legislators and the Governor of New Mexico
participate, and that this memorial be distributed to all affected parties.
Significant
Issues
The establishment of a council will provide a
forum for the exchange of information among government agencies, the public and
the private sector.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
HJM 45 has no
appropriation, but creation of the council will entail expenses for travel for
council members, information dissemination, meeting place, supplies and so
forth.
ADMINISTRATIVE IMPLICATIONS
HJM 45 requests the
creation of a council, and, presumably, its operation will be conducted as
provided by law.
