SUMMARY
Synopsis
of Bill
House Joint Memorial 1 requests the State
Highway Commission and the
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
According to SHTD,
inclusion of this project in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program
will require a concurrent listing by Mid-Region Council of Governments in their
Transportation Improvement Program. Funding of $60.0 million will be necessary
for this project. The SHTD has included this project in a request to the
Federal Highway Administration for future high priority projects funding.
OTHER SUBSTANTIVE ISSUES
The I-40 Coors Blvd.
interchange is a high very priority for the SHTD, but other rapidly aging and
deteriorating segments of the
I-40,
I-40,
I-25, Tramway to Bernalillo (Est.
$43.0 million)
However, SHTD and the
Mid-Region Council of Governments list the I-40/Coors Boulevard interchange in
the regions Metropolitan Transportation Plan as a long-term priority.
