SUMMARY
Synopsis
of Bill
House Bill 466
appropriates $150.0 from the general fund to the Board of Regents at New Mexico
Institute of Mining and Technology (NMIMT) for continuation of a project to map
the state’s aquifer and underground water resources. The intent of this project is to develop a
better understanding of surface and underground water relationships and aquifer
recharge and capacity issues.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of
$150.0 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
remaining at the end of FY04 shall revert to the general fund.
