SUMMARY
Synopsis
of Bill
House Bill 393 creates
a new, non-reverting fund, the Higher Education Performance Fund. Money in the
fund is appropriated to the CHE to provide funds to those public,
post-secondary institutions meeting annual performance targets. CHE is authorized to develop a system to annually
assess performance of public post-secondary educational institutions.
Significant
Issues
HJM 27 requests the CHE, public post-secondary
educational institutions, Department of Finance and Administration and LFC to
develop recommendations for implementation of a performance evaluation process
to determine funding distributions from the higher education performance
