SUMMARY
Synopsis
of Bill
Senate Bill 30
appropriates $50.0 from the general fund to the New Mexico Department of Agriculture
for the purpose of promoting local farmers’ markets throughout the state,
providing marketing and organizational assistance to new and developing markets
and to disseminate education information about

Issues
The last recorded appropriation for the purposes
of this bill is found in Laws of 2001, Chapter 64 which included $45.0 to NMSU
to be expended during fiscal year 2003.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of
$50.0 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining
at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.

This request for
funding was not submitted to the Commission on Higher Education.
