SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 111

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

46TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 2003

REQUESTED BY Carroll H. Leavell

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN JAL IN LEA COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the department of environment

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to upgrade the sewer system in the General Camp subdivision in Jal in Lea county;

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to purchase and install a security system for the city of Jal water system in Lea county; and

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to acquire land for, prepare the site for, purchase, install and equip a water storage tank for the Jal water system in Lea county; and

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to purchase and install the computer system for the Jal police department in Lea county;

fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) to upgrade and furnish the jail in Jal in Lea county;

forty thousand dollars ($40,000) to purchase and equip a truck for the Jal police department in Lea county;

ten thousand dollars ($10,000) to upgrade the firing range for the Jal police department in Lea county;

six thousand dollars ($6,000) to purchase a video camera system for the Jal police department in Lea county;

twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) to purchase a uni-loader and attachments for the Jal public works department in Lea county; and

seven thousand five hundred dollars ($7,500) to purchase a trailer for the Jal public works department in Lea county; and

• to the department of health

one million three hundred thousand dollars ($1,300,000) to design, construct and equip a treatment facility in Jal in Lea county.
