SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 77

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

46TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 2003

REQUESTED BY Timothy Z. Jennings

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN OTERO COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state highway and transportation department

three million dollars ($3,000,000) to construct road connectors for the Alamogordo relief route in Otero county; and

one million one hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($1,125,000) to design and construct roads from the railroad tracks west to United States highway 54 and east to Hamilton road and from Panorama drive to Hamilton road in Otero county;

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

seven hundred thousand dollars ($700,000) to design, construct and equip a road shop building in Otero county; and

three million dollars ($3,000,000) to design, construct and equip a juvenile detention facility for Otero county; and

• to the office of the state engineer

three hundred ninety-three thousand five hundred twenty-five dollars ($393,525) to construct drainage culverts and make related repairs to conduct water from the La Luz and Laborcita canyons under Riata road in Otero county.
