HOUSE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 329

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

46TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 2003

REQUESTED BY W. Ken Martinez

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN MCKINLEY COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state highway and transportation department

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to improve the Rincon Marquez road in McKinley county; and

one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to improve county road 19 in McKinley county;

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for playground and office equipment for Thoreau head start in Thoreau in McKinley county; and

thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000) to improve, equip and landscape the Thoreau recreation center in McKinley county; and

• to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs

thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000) to pave roads for the Thoreau chapter of the Navajo Nation in McKinley county;

seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to improve the Pillow Crest road in the Baca chapter of the Navajo Nation in McKinley county; and

twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) to plan, design and construct an electrical wiring system for a warehouse in the Thoreau chapter of the Navajo Nation in McKinley county.
