FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS FOR PORTALES IN ROOSEVELT COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state highway and transportation department

one hundred thirty-five thousand dollars ($135,000) for repair of streets, curbs and gutters on Elgin from Elbe to Danube and on Fargo from Canadian to Third street in Portales in Roosevelt county;

forty thousand dollars ($40,000) for upgrading the sidewalks and parking area and landscaping along Fir street in Portales in Roosevelt county;

sixty-five thousand dollars ($65,000) for improvements at Burlington northern and Santa Fe railroad crossings at New Mexico highway 236 and at New Mexico highway 267 in Portales in Roosevelt county; and

seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000) for repair of curbs, gutters and drainage on Kilgore street from Third street to Eighteenth street in Portales in Roosevelt county; and

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for construction of a fire station in Portales in Roosevelt county;

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for the renovation of Roosevelt county courthouse plaza area in Portales in Roosevelt county; and

ninety thousand dollars ($90,000) for construction of an animal control building in Portales in Roosevelt county.
