has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:



1. On page 1, line 19, through page 5, line 24, strike Section 1 in its entirety.



2. Renumber the succeeding sections accordingly.



3. On page 6, line 1, strike "the" and insert in lieu thereof "all references in law to the state board of education or to the superintendent of public instruction shall mean the secretary of public education appointed by the governor pursuant to Article 12, Section 6 of the constitution of New Mexico. The".



4. On page 6, line 15, strike "the" and insert in lieu thereof "all references in law to the state department of public education shall mean the public education department created by Article 12, Section 6 of the constitution of New Mexico. The".
