AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND FOUR ADDITIONAL FULL-TIME DETECTIVE POSITIONS AND FOUR ADDITIONAL FULL-TIME AUDITOR POSITIONS AT THE MOTOR VEHICLE DIVISION OF THE TAXATION AND REVENUE DEPARTMENT IN ORDER TO INCREASE THE SUPERVISION OF AUTOMOBILE SALES IN NEW MEXICO.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred ninety-three thousand dollars ($493,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the motor vehicle division of the taxation and revenue department for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to fund four additional full-time detective positions and four additional full-time auditor positions in order to increase the supervision of automobile sales in New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
