MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR MANPOWER DEVELOPMENT OF MINERS IN NORTHERN NEW MEXICO THROUGH TRAINING THROUGH THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO-TAOS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 for manpower development of miners through training through the university of New Mexico-Taos. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
