Madam President:

Your CORPORATIONS AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 5, line 12, strike "government" and insert in lieu thereof "community".

2. On page 6, line 24 through page 7, line 1, strike Subsection B in its entirety and insert in lieu thereof the following new subsection:

"B. the needs identified by the board for the advancement of competition and investment in areas designated by the public regulation commission where telecommunications services are subject to developing competition pursuant to Subsection C of Section 63-9A-8 NMSA 1978; and".

3. On page 9, line 22, strike the word "cable".

4. On page 9, line 23, strike the word "telecommunications".,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
