RELATING TO COURTS; CREATING THE JUDGES PRO TEMPORE FUND; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. JUDGES PRO TEMPORE FUND--CREATED--ADMINISTRATION--DISBURSEMENT.--The "judges pro tempore fund" is created as a nonreverting fund in the state treasury. The fund shall be administered by the administrative office of the courts, and money in the fund is appropriated to the office to pay the costs of judges pro tempore. Payments from the judges pro tempore fund shall be by warrant of the secretary of finance and administration pursuant to vouchers signed by the director of the administrative office of the courts or his authorized representative.

Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
