AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO REDUCE THE WAITING LIST FOR NEW MEXICO'S MEDICAID DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES WAIVER PROGRAM.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifteen million dollars ($15,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 for the purpose of providing services to nine hundred eligible persons under New Mexico's developmental disabilities medicaid waiver program who are not currently enrolled due to insufficient program funding. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
