Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 1, line 16, strike "Three million seven hundred forty-three thousand one hundred dollars ($3,743,100) and insert in lieu thereof "Three million eight hundred forty-three thousand one hundred dollars ($3,843,100)".

2. On page 2, line 22, strike "and".

3. On page 3, line 3, strike the period and insert in lieu thereof "; and".

4. On page 3, between lines 3 and 4, insert the following new paragraph to read:

"(7) one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to support the department of philosophy.".,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
