SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1___ to SENATE BILL 162

Amendment sponsored by Senator Timothy Z. Jennings

1. On page 4, strike lines 10 through 12 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof the following new subsection to read:

"E. From the remaining revenue collected as a result of the tax on the gross amount wagered, one million nine hundred thousand dollars ($1,900,000) is appropriated to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to reduce the developmental disabilities waiting list. The balance of the revenue shall be deposited in the general fund.".
