AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE MATCHING FUNDS FOR THE FARMERS' MARKET NUTRITION PROGRAM.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thirty-six thousand dollars ($136,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to provide matching funds for the farmers' market nutrition program to support small farmers and farmers' markets in New Mexico and to improve the diets of women, children and seniors in New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
