RELATING TO PUBLIC RECORDS; PROVIDING FOR CONFIDENTIALITY OF A VICTIM'S IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION TO PREVENT ABUSE; ENACTING A SECTION OF THE ARREST RECORD INFORMATION ACT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. A new section of the Arrest Record Information Act is enacted to read:
"[NEW MATERIAL] LIMITED DISCLOSURE OF VICTIM'S INFORMATION.--Notwithstanding other provisions of the Arrest Record Information Act, the following information is confidential, shall be redacted from the arrest record and shall not be disclosed to the public, including a person accused, arrested, detained, indicted or named in the arrest record, except by court order:
A. the victim's date of birth;
B. the victim's social security number;
C. the victim's address;
D. the victim's telephone number;
E. the victim's place of employment;
F. the victim's location; and
G. any other identifying information about the victim's whereabouts."
