Mr. Speaker:

Your GOVERNMENT AND URBAN AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 926

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 1, line 21, strike "five" and insert in lieu thereof "seven".

2. On page 1, line 23, after "the" insert "chair of the", strike "manager" and insert in lieu thereof "commission" and strike "his" and insert in lieu thereof "the".

3. On page 1, line 24, after "designee" insert thereof "of the chair".

4. On page 1, between lines 24 and 25, insert the following new paragraph:

"(2) the mayor of the village of Ruidoso or the designee of the mayor;".

5. Renumber the succeeding paragraphs accordingly.

6. On page 2, line 1, after "resources" insert thereof "or the designee of the secretary" and strike "and".

7. On page 2, between lines 1 and 2, insert the following new

paragraph:

"(4) the state historic preservation officer or the designee of the officer; and".

8. Renumber the succeeding paragraph accordingly.

9. On page 2, line 2, strike the comma and insert in lieu thereof "at large who are".

10. On page 2, line 3, strike the comma and insert in lieu thereof "and are".,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
