AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC EDUCATION FOR AN ACCELERATED MATHEMATICS PROGRAM IN A MAGNET SCHOOL.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to purchase an accelerated mathematics program for Taylor middle school, a magnet school in the Albuquerque public school district. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
