AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A STUDY OF CANCER OCCURRENCE CLUSTERS IN LAS VEGAS, NEW MEXICO.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million dollars ($1,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to fund a study of the frequency of occurrences and the locations of the persons contracting cancer in Las Vegas, New Mexico, and the immediately surrounding area. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
