MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CONDUCT ENVIRONMENTAL SAMPLE TESTING AND PROCESSING.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of environment for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 by the department of energy oversight bureau to conduct sample testing of the environment and to expand oversight activities of the United States department of energy, including processing air, water and soil samples. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
