AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC EDUCATION FOR DROPOUT PREVENTION AT THE RIO GRANDE HIGH SCHOOL CLUSTER.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to support Rio Grande high school cluster dropout prevention programs, including mentorship and student leadership programs. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
