MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE PROGRAMS FOR NEW MEXICO YOUTH, INCLUDING YOUTH WHO ARE MINORITY MEMBERS, FROM LOW-INCOME FAMILIES OR OTHERWISE DISADVANTAGED.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred three thousand five hundred dollars ($103,500) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of San Juan college for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to hire a director and staff for the first tee program of the riverview education and recreation center to provide programs for local youth, including youth who are minority members, from low-income families or otherwise disadvantaged. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
