AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO PROVIDE PRESCRIPTION DRUGS AND SERVICES RELATED TO THE HUMAN IMMUNODEFICIENCY VIRUS AND ACQUIRED IMMUNE DEFICIENCY SYNDROME TO NEW MEXICO RESIDENTS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--
A. Two million dollars ($2,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to provide the following:
(1) human immunodeficiency virus and acquired immune deficiency syndrome prevention services to New Mexico residents; and
(2) human immunodeficiency virus and acquired immune deficiency syndrome-related prescription drugs and medical and case management services to New Mexico residents infected with the human immunodeficiency virus or acquired immune deficiency syndrome.
B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
