AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICTS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million one hundred fifty-two thousand dollars ($1,152,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to match federal money for water conservation and natural resource restoration technical assistance pursuant to agreements with the United States department of agriculture's natural resources conservation service. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
