MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE STATE BOARD OF FINANCE TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY FUNDS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR MAINTENANCE OF RECEIVERSHIP OF LOS AMIGOS NURSING HOME IN SANTA ROSA; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state board of finance for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 for the department of health to maintain receivership of Los Amigos nursing home in Santa Rosa. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.

Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
