SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___3___ to HOUSE APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSE BILLS 190 & 257, as amended

Amendment sponsored by Senator Kent L. Cravens

1. Strike Senate Floor Amendments 1 and 2.

2. Strike Senate Finance Committee Amendments 6, 8 through 12 and 14.

3. On page 2, line 11, after "D" insert "and E".

4. On page 2, lines 18 and 19, strike "five million three hundred thousand ($5,300,000)" and insert in lieu thereof "five million six hundred thousand dollars ($5,600,000)".

5. On page 4, between lines 3 and 4, insert the following new subsection to read:

"E. Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) of the liquor excise tax revenues distributed to the local DWI grant fund is appropriated to the division for the interlock device fund to cover the costs of installing and removing ignition interlock devices for indigent people who are required, pursuant to convictions under Section 66-8-102 NMSA 1978, to install those devices in their vehicles.".

6. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.

7. On page 5, line 9, strike "E" and insert in lieu thereof "F".

8. On page 5, line 11, after the period insert "Sixty-five percent of the DWI grants awarded to local communities shall be used for alcohol-related treatment and detoxification programs.".

9. On page 6, line 25 and page 7, line 1, strike "five million three hundred thousand dollars ($5,300,000)" and insert in lieu thereof "five million six hundred thousand dollars ($5,600,000)".

10. On page 8, line 22, strike "appropriation and distribution" and insert lieu thereof "appropriations and distributions".

11. On page 8, line 23, after "D" insert "and E".
