Your APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
HOUSE BILL 162
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 1, line 17, strike "OF EDUCATION".
2. On page 1, line 19, strike "of education".
3. On page 1, line 22, strike the semicolon and insert in lieu thereof:
", including taking over the control and management of a public school or school district that has failed to meet requirements of law or state board rules or standards;
B. issue a state identification number for each public school student for use in the accountability data system, but in no case shall the identification number be the student's date of birth or social security number;".
4. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.
5. On page 2, strike lines 6 through 8.
6. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.
7. On page 2, line 10, strike "of education".
8. On page 2, line 12, strike "regulations" and insert in lieu thereof "rules".
9. On page 2, line 15, strike "certified" and insert in lieu thereof "licensed" and strike "personnel" and insert in lieu thereof
"employees".
10. On page 2, line 21, before the period insert "and the secretary of children, youth and families".
