Your CORPORATIONS AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. Strike House Judiciary Committee Amendment 2.

2. On page 2, lines 11 through 13, strike the underscored material and insert in lieu thereof:

"D. In all insurance contracts except for workers' compensation insurance, commercial multiple peril insurance or commercial general liability, the policy declarant page or, if other than a property or casualty contract, the equivalent page, issued or renewed on or after January 1, 2004, shall be written in both the English and Spanish languages if requested by the insured. The provisions provided in Spanish shall not govern the rights and responsibilities of the parties but are provided for information only.".,

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
